My very dear Friends,
"My love is with you all in Christ Jesus." (1 Cor 16:24)
It is with great joy that I commend to you this collection of prayers from our Liturgical Tradition. My fervent hope is that this little book will be of help in your prayer life.
Our Holy Church encourages all the faithful to find some time each day, and, leaving behind all earthly cares, to pray individually or as a group. Thus, our prayer draws us ever closer to God and helps us to be aware of His Presence in our daily lives.
Through prayer, all Christians are called to place themselves in the hands of God, to live the life in Christ, and through the Grace of the Holy Spirit, to grow as the Children of God. Prayer is a gift from God, and, we should keep it and cultivate it, we should pray continually. (1 Thess. 5:7)
May this book be for you a true treasury of prayers, a indispensable companion on your journey. Whenever you open its pages may the Lord bless you as you proclaim His majesty, adore His divinity and rejoice in His unfailing kindness.
Your brother and servant in the Lord,
+ Issam John,
Eparch
